As I understand it and it may be wrong if I were to enter a 'Pro' license key into the 'home' I now have installed it would upgrade to 'pro', but not even sure of that nor do the pages you reference even address that.

I do not see how using one of these generic keys would help me to get the license key that I have installed. I am not sure if 'pro' can be downgraded to 'home'. That is why I installed the home because I knew it could be upgraded. I am unsure if I need to or should do that in my case as I do not fully understand all the nuances of doing so (would I somehow get 'locked in' to a specific version, home or pro).

Turns out it was a Win 10 Enterprise of some kind and showed in Win Key Finder as 'BBBB BBBB.

So it was my intention to try to re-use the Win 10 serial number that came with the (now dead) Mini PC that I had extracted before it died, but it seems that my new install of Windows will not accept that serial number. I have also used my dual Boot machine which has Win 10 Home (Single Language) to test it and the Bonjour advertisement does not fail there. Now I ran this for many months on Win 10 Pro, with no issue like that. My problem is that after a few minutes the Bonjour advertisement for the scanner dies on that system.

I also need to be able to test a little piece of Windows software that I wrote and maintain that shares a Windows scanner over the eSCL protocol (I will not post a link because they say here on this forum my site is 'commercial') using Twain2AIrscan.
